WHY DevOps++

Our Charter:

1. Develop actionable learning roadmap for enterprise adoption and use of DevOps practices across the roles.
2. Identify the learning milestones that can be evaluated, certified and thus recognised.
3. Connect the learning roadmap in DevOps with other areas like Big Data, Lean, IoT and Analytics.

“DevOps” is the hottest topic in the IT industry currently. It is one of the most hyped and the most used term in recent times. Every now and then we hear some or the other thing pertaining to DevOps. Whether is the Development world, testing phase or the production environment, everyone seems of transforming and evolving themselves into DevOps. But DevOps is not merely a title or tag that you will associate to yourself, the scope of DevOps is much larger than that. DevOps pertains changes in an organisation. Changes not only in the tools that are being used in the industry, but in a larger sense DevOps implies to Cultural change in the organisation. It is about breaking the barriers and building bridges. It is about sharing and collaborating with the team (Dev, Test and Ops). It is about delivering quality software to the customer at the end, since quality is everyone’s responsibility. Such is the path breaking vision of the Founders at DevOps++ Alliance. The founders of the DevOps++ Alliance strongly believe that the time has come for the organisations to break the silos in their teams and bring total transformation in their organisation. We at DevOps++ Alliance will cater and help you realise this and making this dream successful.

The founders of the DevOps++ Alliance are the founding members of Agile Testing Alliance; Agile Testing Alliance is a non-profit testing community and certification organization, which was created in 2013 to grow agile testing awareness, practices and acceptance. Agile Testing Alliance is a global alliance of visionary industry leaders, prominent authors, leading educational institutions and testing evangelists who are passionate in proliferation of agile in testing. Some of the prominent names of this organisation are Dr. Suhaimi bin Ibrahim, Dr. Suhaimi Ibrahim, the first Head of Software Engineering Dept. at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).Joe Justice, Mr. Joe Justice is a consultant at Scrum Inc, a TEDx speaker, and coach for agile hardware and manufacturing teams around the world. With their dedication and strong vision the DevOps++ Alliance came into its formation.

The members of the Alliance strongly believe that for DevOps to gain full acceptance by enterprise organizations best practices based curriculums have to be developed. Hence DevOps++ Alliance has launched DevOps Foundation Course; this will provide a strong base to excel in DevOps in near future. Along with the launch of DevOps Foundation course, the alliance has also come up with CP-CT (Certified Professional – Continuous Testing) .Enterprises will require certifications to not only show a return on their investment in training, but more importantly a certification from DevOps++ Alliance will signify that the applicant has been trained in the highest quality, best practices based training available.
